Our centre is a warm and loving environment where tamariki and whãnau feel a sense of belonging.
Kia tipu ngãtahi
A play based environment where tamariki learn through active exploration of the preschool environment with opportunities to build relationships / friendships with their peers.
Growing together
Our children enjoy an interactive outdoor playground space and warm indoor spaces to create more stimulus for our tamariki to play, fulfilling the goal of providing a more challenging environment.
We greatly value the importance that nature plays in their learning journey and our new outdoor area reflects this through our plantings of trees and plants in the garden and mud kitchen area.
The Rose Centre Community Preschool operates under the umbrella of The Rose Centre Inc — Belmont’s own community hub, which includes a community centre, boutique community theatre, and the preschool located by the Belmont shops on Belmont Primary School grounds. The Rose Centre Inc is a community based, not-for-profit centre as well as a registered charitable organisation under the New Zealand Charities Act 2005. Founded in 1992 by local community groups and individuals, The Rose Centre was created to provide a welcoming space for the Belmont community to connect, create, and come together.
RC Preschool is often an entry point for tamariki and whānau into the RC centre and we are licensed for 21 tamariki aged 18 months to 5 years. Our fully qualified and registered kaiako create a warm, welcoming space where tamariki and whānau feel a true sense of belonging. We value strong relationships and love supporting families as they begin their preschool journey.
Through play-based learning guided by Te Whāriki, our team provides a safe, nurturing environment where tamariki can grow in confidence, curiosity, and capability. Reach out today to arrange a no obligation visit - we would love to show you around!
